I snort, which would normally be something I might be embarrassed about, but really, there’s no topping what just went down with the wings and the hips and the tulle around my shoulders instead of my waist.
I shake my head as I look into Toreon’s golden gaze. “I was doing the same thing. I knew you needed time to mourn and adjust, to feel safe here with Ire and me. I was trying to give you time to be okay and not push myself all over you like some lunatic incapable of thinking of anything other than the orgasms she wants.”
Toreon and Vudu both chuckle, and I release a sigh.
“So you do still want me, no second thoughts about the whole mate thing?”
“Never,” Toreon and Vudu both say at the same time, and I laugh. I bring my hands up to scrub at my face to rid the remaining tension, but I quickly remember I have makeup on and drop them.
Toreon wraps a loose strand of my hair around his finger and then nods like he’s come to some kind of conclusion before looking at Vudu again. “We need to make this right, V. We need to make sure our mate knows how much we want her. How glad we are that we have her forever.”
“About fucking time,” Vudu grunts.
“Oh,” I chirp out in surprise as Vudu turns me in his arms until my back is to his front, and even with my wings, he’s able to hold me like that, his body wide and tall. Toreon steps directly in front of me, and I feel both sets of eyes drinking me in, their gazes falling to my chest that’s rising and falling in rapid succession.
“How long do you think we have?” Vudu asks behind me.
“We could probably get away with fifteen minutes,” Toreon says, and Vudu growls in displeasure.
Toreon laughs. “It’s okay, we’ll take our time with her later. For now, let’s just show her how beautiful she is. How wanted.” He steps closer to me until we’re chest-to-chest, and with a teasing touch, he traces the curves of my breasts, instantly making my skin prickle and rise in awareness.
Vudu makes a noise of agreement and then moves his hand to begin tracing over the curve of one wing. I shiver in response, just as Toreon cups my face and presses his lips against mine.

I follow his order instantly, my hands dropping to hold the layers of tulle up, my eyes watching in rapt fascination as he starts to run his hands up my thighs. While he does that, I feel Vudu start to dip and stroke the curves of my wings, and I nearly jolt when he hits a particularly sensitive part.
“What is with these wings?” I murmur.
