Forever (Lost Souls MC #1) - Blue Saffire Page 0,22
If looks could kill, Magdalena would be dead on the spot. I look at the evil bitch as if I could burn her to a crisp right where she stands. I don’t even turn to look for Eva’s reaction. I can feel her and I’m ready to lose my shit right here and now.
“Eva, don’t you move, keep your ass right there. She’s my ex-wife and it’s a lot deeper than the shit rolling around in your head, baby. Don’t. Fucking. Move,” I growl out, still not turning to face Eva.
I look into Magdalena’s eyes and see the soulless bitch for who she is. “You were the biggest mistake of my life. I let you and that little vindictive, manipulative cousin of mine talk me into marrying you and I have regretted it every fucking day since.
“Whatever shit you’ve gotten yourself into now, it’s on you. I don’t give a shit and I’m not helping. You fuck with my woman, now you pay the price,” I say and fold my arms over my chest.
“Your woman,” Magdalena seethes. “She’s nothing but some little girl you’re chasing time away with. You haven’t known a woman since the last time we fucked.”
“Unbelievable,” I hear Eva breathe from the desk behind me.
I close my eyes and my nostrils flare. I can’t believe this shit is happening after the amazing sex I just had with Eva only moments ago. I open my eyes and address Beth first.
“Why are you still here?”
“I… I… I, you’re really firing me?” Beth asks with a look of complete confusion on her face.
“I’ve never minced words around here, Beth. So, I’m having a hard time figuring out why you’re suddenly having such a hard time comprehending.”
Beth nods as tears fill her eyes. She looks at Magdalena as if she can offer some help or comfort. Magdalena looks at her in disgust and rolls her eyes. “You’re no good to me now,” Mags scoffs.
I tighten my jaw as I think of how long Beth has been helping my bitch of an ex-wife. It’s taking everything in me not to explode right here on the spot. I pull my cell from my pocket.
“I need security up here in my office. Beth Rogers is not to leave this building until Diggs gets here and talks to her,” I speak into the phone as I watch both Beth and Mags’ reaction. They both pale and look nervous.
Diggs works for an outside security firm I hire, and yes, he’s a Lost Soul. Both Beth and Magdalena have run across him before. He’s one scary sight. Gruff, huge, and tattooed, Diggs is just intimidating. He has a young face that matches his age, but the front of his hair is gray and adds something sinister to his aura.
There’s a squad within the Lost Souls who you just know not to fuck with. Diggs happens to be a part of that squad. Magdalena knows this to be a fact. Beth, I can tell, has assumed as much from the vibes that come off of Diggs when he has come by my office.
I shoot a text to him, so I can find out what has been going on behind my back. Magdalena looks like she’s contemplating running. She just can’t manage to pull her attention from the woman behind me long enough to try.
I know exactly where Eva is. My body is attuned to hers. I feel as she walks up behind me. I reach behind my back for her waist and pull her against me. She won’t be bolting around me for the door.
I smirk to myself when I hear her gasp for air as I pull her close. Her breasts crush against me and I swear my cock twitches for her. I don’t know if I will ever get enough of her.
I look over my shoulder. “I can explain it all. You’re not leaving this building without me,” I murmur to her.
She just looks up at me with her big brown eyes. I can see the sadness in them, and it tightens my chest. I shift to kiss her forehead but keep her pinned to my back.
“Learn to trust me,” I whisper.
She nods, but I see the mistrust written on her gorgeous face. I bite my lip in hopes to reel in my anger. Unfortunately, Mags has never learned when to shut the fuck up.
“Where’d you find this one? What makes her so special?” she says as if disgusted.
