were completely alone in the world, like two lovers who’d been separated across the decades, like two people who couldn’t get enough of each other. But we weren’t alone and worse than that, The Big Tease was public. Very, very public. I pulled back and nodded at the big picture windows. “The whole town can see us. Wouldn’t want to ruin your reputation.”

Grant though, was completely nonplussed by my words and pulled me closer until I dropped down in his lap with a squeal. “I have no reputation, and who better to ruin it with? Now come here woman and let me finish that kiss.” It was long and hot and shot straight through to the heart of me. My core and my skin, pebbled with goosebumps brought on by the touch of his roughened skin against mine.

It was a kiss that begged for more, which I would have happily given, in another time and place. I pulled back, breathless and smiling. “What was that for?”

“I told you, been thinking about tasting those sweet lips all damn day. Is that okay with you?”

I nodded. It was more than okay. “Hell yeah. It was a good kiss. A hot kiss.”

“Perfect.” He gave my ass a little smack. “Now get back to my haircut, I’m taking a pretty girl to dinner tomorrow night and I want to impress her.”

“It’ll take more than a haircut to impress her,” I shot back and reached for my spray bottle, comb and scissors. My body shook with desire while I gave the quickest haircut of my life and took a step back to examine him from all angles. “All finished. I don’t know if you’ll impress her, but you sure do look pretty.”

“Thanks. I picked these jeans out all by myself,” he joked and followed me to the cash register, paying and tipping too much for the short trim. “You hungry, Brenna?” He asked the question as if he didn’t know that I was absolutely ravenous for nothing but him.

“Sure am,” I said casually.

He flashed a wide grin and leaned across the small counter until our lips were less than a breath apart. “Meet at your place in twenty?”

Hell yes. “I think I can pencil you in.”

“I’ll see you in twenty.”

I let out a shuddery breath and nodded, thinking about how much a woman could accomplish in twenty minutes with the right motivation. The answer came quickly because the man standing in front of me was more than six feet of motivation.

“I’ll be waiting.”

Grant

The drive to Tulip was mostly quiet, dead silent actually. I didn’t know what was on Brenna’s mind, but my thoughts were full of her from last night. Deceptively innocent pink and white lingerie, pale skin and rosy nipples peeking through the lacy material. Lush pink lips formed into a perfect pout when she answered the door. It was hot as hell, as was everything that came next, and it all played on a permanent reel in my mind.

Non-fucking-stop.

She let out a shuddery breath beside me and my cock hardened, returning me to last night with those big blue eyes staring up at me while she took me in her mouth, keeping me hot and hard until she drove me out of my mind. Completely. Totally. Last night was even hotter than the first night, and I spent all day at the office daydreaming about all the ways I’d had her. Up against the door. Spread across the sofa. The kitchen table. The bedroom. And finally, the shower. The guys gave me shit about my spaced out look all day and I didn’t care, I took it all because I couldn’t get the image of her out of my mind.

“Is everything all right, Grant?” Her sweet voice, clear and crisp with that twang, brought me back to the here and now.

I risked a quick glance and frowned. “What?”

“You’re awful quiet and I’m wonderin’ if you’re all right. Bad day at work?”

I smiled in response to her concern and nodded. “I’m good, Brenna. Really good, actually. A little distracted though.”

“Yeah?” Her red lips curled into a grin. “By anything in particular?”

“Oh yeah. This beautiful woman I saw last night, she’s got my head all mixed up so that all I can think about is her.”

A sexy little blush stained her cheeks and Brenna sat up a little taller, her smile a bit bigger. “Last night was pretty great, wasn’t it?”

“Better than great, sweetheart. It was unforgettable. Truly.” We shared a quick smile before I
