A Filthy Christmas (Filthy Line #6) - Jaxson Kidman Page 0,29

something for you.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah. I didn’t expect to feel this shitty today though. Just give me a few minutes to wake up.”

“How about a drink?” I asked. “Hair of the dog, right?”

“I don’t think so,” she said.

She took the lid off the coffee, smelled it, and sighed.

“I’ll go talk to Nash,” I said.

“No, you won’t,” she said. “You’re not my representative. I can handle myself, Shane.”

“Right,” I said. “So you get grumpy when you’re hungover, huh? You got too drunk to fuck and now you’re pissed.”

Lita lifted her sunglasses and blinked. “Anything else you’d like to say?”

“Plenty,” I said. “So what’s this thing you got for me? Are we getting a hotel room under fake names then you and Maggie are going to be there?”

“Tell you what,” Lita said. “Go to the apartment right now. Maggie is off today. Go fuck her. Get it out of your system.”

I reached for Lita’s face and stroked her cheek. “Oh, beauty, don’t get jealous. You know the only time I would fuck Maggie is if you were there too.”

Lita punched me in the chest. “You know what? Go talk to Nash. Tell him I’m sick. Tell him you’re taking me home to nurse me back to health. Let their perverted minds run wild. That’s the easiest way to get out of recording today.”

I laughed and went back inside.

Here was something new for me.

Blowing off a recording session to spend time with a woman.

Not that it meant anything… we were just having fun.

I drove Lita back home so she could shower and get changed.

She lied to me - Maggie wasn’t there. Which meant I had nobody to flirt with while she showered. And she locked the bathroom door.

So I stood outside the bathroom door until it opened.

“Yeah, yeah,” Lita said. “It’s not free game on my body all the time, Shane. I’ll let you know when I’m ready for you again.”

“Bullshit,” I said. “I’m losing a day’s work here. The least you could do-”

Lita opened her towel and stood there. “Better?”

“Fuck,” I growled.

She went to her bedroom, I made a few comments and began to think it over.

She was so much sexier than she gave herself credit for.

When she emerged from the bedroom a few minutes later, wearing ripped jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt, I just shook my head.

And I had no choice but to block her path.

And touch her face.

And steal a quick kiss.

Lita shoved me back. “Don’t go kissing me just yet. You might hate me after today.”

“Why’s that?” I asked.

“You’ll see soon enough.”

Lita gave the directions and I drove.

“Got any hints for me on this surprise?” I asked.

“No,” she said.

“That’s no fun.”

“I never said it was going to be fun,” Lita said.

“Damn, you are grumpy. Let me take care of that…”

I reached across the seat and touched her leg.

Lita didn’t stop me.

So I kept going.

I moved my right hand between her legs and pressed hard against her jeans.

She groaned and then swatted my hand away.

“No,” she said. “Focus. Dammit. Focus.”

“Are you telling yourself that?” I asked with a smile.

“Just keep driving, Shane,” she said. “Trust me. You need to see this. It’ll be good.”

“Good?” I asked. “I can’t wait.”

“You… you kind of did a favor for me, Shane,” she said. “You know? With Blaze and everything. I mean, pretending…”

“Yeah, I was there for it,” I said. “It’s not a big deal. Blaze shows up and I get to fuck you. That’s kind of a great deal on my end.”

“Don’t ruin what we have,” she said.

“We have something?” I asked.

Lita looked at me. “Just shut up, Shane.”

I smoked two cigarettes and finally pulled into a parking lot.

There was a one-story old building with no signs up.

Well, except one sign.

For Christmas trees with an arrow.

“Fuck, Lita,” I said. “Christmas trees?”

“It’s not that,” she said. “Wait until you see who is selling the trees, Shane. That’s why we’re here.”

I had to hand it to her. She had me intrigued.

I reluctantly got out of the car and Lita grabbed my hand. She interlocked her fingers tight.

She pushed her sunglasses up to the top of her head.

“Smile with me, Shane,” she said. “I’m repaying the favor now.”

“Repaying the favor…?”

Lita laughed. “This building is where people come to sell stuff they make. But during the holidays, they sell Christmas trees too.”

“And you already have a Christmas tree,” I said. “And I don’t want one.”

“Maybe this year you can change your mind,” she said.

We stepped up to the Christmas tree lot and I looked around.

There were strings
