Exposed Exposed (Dom Nation #1) - E. Davies Page 0,91

my hands behind my back.

Rex took a moment to admire me, staying seated in front of me. Then he smiled, a wicked little expression on his face, and leaned forward to kiss the tent at the front of my trousers. “Good boy.”

The sudden warm pressure against my throbbing shaft made me pulse with pleasure. His praise rang around my body, making me feel all warm and soft in all the places that weren’t my dick. That was hot and hard.

“Fuck,” I hissed, my toes digging into the floor as I rose onto them with the control it took not to thrust greedily toward his face.

But Rex pulled away again, standing up. “Come.”

The week had dragged along—especially the evenings remembering everything that had taken place in his bedroom.

Which it looked like we were going to right now.

I shouldn’t have been surprised when he pulled open what looked like a closet door only to reveal a very different closet than I’d assumed lay behind that door. It wasn’t a clothes bar and some shelves—it was a flat pegboard, and things I hadn’t even imagined hanging from pegs set into dark red velvet.

It was the classiest, raunchiest sight I’d ever seen.

My jaw dropped and all I could do was stare at it—the unidentifiable metal objects methodically laid out across two shelves, and the whips, and the hooks to one side from which hung his familiar red latex corset as well as other things.

“Well?” Rex stood to my side, one hand on my back between my shoulder blades as he showed off the collection that was no doubt his pride and joy.

I hadn’t even expected to be greeted by three floggers hanging in a row, all of them eye level with me, much less the rest of it. “Um…” I reached out automatically for the whip with a twisted leather handle and thin strips, each knotted toward the end.

Rex chuckled quietly. He reached out and pushed my hand from the one I’d chosen to the one hanging next to it instead. This one had thicker, more velvety strips hanging from it. “That one,” he murmured and kissed the side of my neck. “For now.”

“Yes, Daddy,” I whispered, trusting his judgment. Carefully, I unhooked the loop from the peg. It was heavier than I’d expected, and I gulped hard, turning to offer it to Rex right away. It felt like I shouldn’t be allowed to hold this tool.

Rex accepted it from the bottom up, lazily coiling the strands in his hand before he took the handle from me. “Good boy,” he murmured. “Now… I have another suggestion.”

I narrowed my eyes at the metal gadget I strongly suspected wasn’t for pie crusts, even if it looked like a crimper. If I started trying to guess at everything in here, I’d be here all day, so I tore my eyes off the closet of wonders and looked at him. “Mmm?”

Rex was holding a single, padded strip of leather, too long to be handcuffs but too short to be much else besides…

“I’d like to collar you tonight. It would mean nobody can flirt with you besides me. It’s a signal that you’re taken. It’s a serious commitment, however. I understand if you’re not ready…” Rex’s brows drew together. “Slate?”

My jaw was hanging open as I stared at what he was holding, mesmerized by the thin strip of black leather and metal D-rings. The moment he’d said collar, my brain had all but shut off. God, how I wanted Rex to lead me around the club by a collar and leash, the ultimate sign of control.

But Isaac had made me wear a collar sometimes, too. He hadn’t said anything about it being a sign of commitment.

“What kind of commitment?” I managed and braced myself on the wall next to Rex’s sex closet.

Rex licked his lips. Wait. Was he nervous?

I stared at him, fascinated by every little shift and twitch in his expression. It looked like he was deciding what to tell me. And, well, I was the newbie here. I had to take his word for it.

But I trusted him to tell me the truth, no matter what.

“Some people—especially in the old guard, traditional leather community—see collaring almost like a wedding.” Rex almost tripped over his words to continue before I could say anything. “I’m not saying… I mean, that’s never been my scene. But you should know how some people will see it.”

Oh, my God. He was adorable right now, and I held my breath. I didn’t want
