and I frowned, not knowing what to make of it. I pulled it out and held it up, laughing. “What is it?”
When I looked over at Montgomery, though, his face was red and he had his hand on the back of his neck.
I looked back down at the object of my hands. It looked like a narrow silver egg on a little bejeweled stand, except the egg was slightly pointy on top. I turned it over in my hands. The end of it was covered in jewels that I would have been sure were rhinestones if I were standing in any other place than this mansion. But as it was, I was pretty sure they were inset diamonds and rubies.
“Is it an antique or something? I don’t get it.”
Montgomery choked a little and then came over to where I was standing. He delicately took the silver egg from me.
“Yes, I guess it is an antique of a sort. It’s been sterilized. But um, it’s used for… It’s um…” His hand went to the back of his neck again.
“What?” I asked, laughing at how embarrassed he was getting.
But his next words had me glad he was holding it, because I might have dropped it in my surprise. “It’s a buttplug.”
“A what?”
Now he was grinning, enjoying that I was the one uncomfortable. “A buttplug. Well, a trainer really. I asked Mrs. H to get it for us because—”
“You asked Mrs. H! For a buttplug!” Oh my God, I was going to die of embarrassment. Staid, solid, Old Country Mrs. Hawthorne had procured me a buttplug. I dropped my face into my hands.
“It’s a good thing. You’ll be glad for it.”
I looked up at Montgomery like he was nuts. “Glad for it?” My voice pitched up an octave higher than normal.
He moved closer, probably sensing that I was near to losing it. “At breakfast we received another invitation.”
He pulled out a black collar from behind his back and my tension immediately dissipated. I knew we’d been expecting an invitation any day now since it had almost been a week since the last one—but if it was a black collar night, that meant no one but Montgomery would be touching me. Thank God.
“But they’ll be expecting a show. So, I’m going to take your ass tonight.”
He stated it so matter-of-factly. I swallowed hard and nodded. I knew there was no escaping this and as much as the idea freaked me out, the fact that it would be Montgomery and no one else… well, it was the only way I was willing to try.
His voice softened. “But I can’t stand the thought of hurting you. Which is why we’ll spend the day training you so tonight you can take me.” He lifted the egg again.
My eyes immediately widened. When I was just looking at it as an object of curiosity, that had been one thing. But now he was talking about getting that whole thing up my—
I involuntarily took a step back. “Um…”
He lifted an eyebrow and followed me. “Grace,” he said in a voice that was half teasing, half warning. “This is happening, even if I have to hold you down.”
I paused. Well, actually that sounded sorta hot. I grinned saucily at him. “You promise?”
His eyes flared with heat. “I swear it.”
And then he lunged for me, egg in hand. I screeched and tried to leap over the bed, but he caught me by my hips, landing half on top of me.
I giggled and struggled underneath him, but he put his full weight on me, easily pinning me. And God did that feel delicious. Especially when I felt a certain part of him harden. I wiggled my ass extra against him until he was groaning and grinding against me.
This was new. We didn’t play like this. But I loved it.
I rolled my ass up against his hardness. “You think you can catch this? You think you can tame this?”
His voice was low and throaty as he reached down and grabbed one of my ass cheeks, giving it a squeeze.
“I think I already own it,” he said, tossing up my nightgown and grabbing the flesh of my ass, massaging it with his large hands.
Which sent my libido into fucking overdrive. We hadn’t touched each other since the other morning, and it had been driving me crazy.
