The Deputy and His Enforcer (Kincaid Pack #3) - Kiki Clark Page 0,73

he licked his lips. Marcus’s eyes were barely slits, but he was staring at Robson with an almost predatory gleam.

Grinning, Robson pulled himself up so he was plastered to the front of his sweaty mate and took his lax mouth in a deep kiss as he gently thrust against his relaxed body.

Marcus moaned as he threw one arm around Robson’s shoulders and delved his tongue into Robson’s mouth, chasing the taste of his own release. Grunting, Robson reached down and coaxed one of Marcus’s legs up and over his hip to create a better cradle for him to thrust against.

With his free hand, Robson found Marcus’s other one fisted in the sheets and threaded their fingers together, palms meeting as Robson pressed Marcus’s hand into the pillow next to his head and started thrusting harder.

“Robson,” Marcus moaned when Robson ripped his mouth away to pant against his neck. His heel dug into Robson’s ass, driving him to move faster. “Want you to feel good too.”

“You make me feel amazing,” he grunted into Marcus’s skin, licking up to his ear and nibbling on the lobe. Marcus whimpered and dug his nails into Robson’s back, shooting fire down to his dick. “Fuck, I’m gonna come.”

Whimpering, Marcus nodded frantically, tightening his leg. “Do it. Please.”

“Ungh, cariño.” Robson stiffened, grinding his cock into Marcus. He hissed through his clenched jaw as he came between them, the scent of sex filling the room.

He tried to hold himself up from smothering Marcus out of habit, but then he remembered the slender guy under him could bench-press him and let himself settle down on top of him with a sigh. Burying his face behind Marcus’s neck and in the ends of his hair, he inhaled deeply.

“Not too heavy?” he murmured, just to be sure. He should move and clean up so they didn’t end up stuck together, but now that he was coming down from his orgasm, all he wanted to do was pass out.

“No,” Marcus whispered, skimming his free hand up and down Robson’s back. “You’re perfect.”

Chapter Nineteen

Peeling himself away from Robson’s warm skin and soft snores had been one of the hardest things Marcus had ever had to do, but he’d forced himself to only press one light kiss against Robson’s throat and then carefully crawl away so he didn’t wake him. The house had still been empty and quiet, so he hadn’t had any problems slipping downstairs without clothes and shifting once he was outside.

Without a lot of time before he was expected at the manor to greet a visiting alpha with Rick and the others, he’d still detoured home, grabbed his phone, dressed, and quickly packed a few things into a bag, leaving it just inside the door. The drive to the manor seemed to only take seconds, his mind full of fanciful thoughts like if he should bring a gift to meet Robson’s mom and how to convince Robson to let Marcus get a safer vehicle for his sisters to drive.

He hadn’t bothered to shower, not ready to lose the scent of their mating yet, but the looks he’d gotten when he’d slipped in the door had made him feel self-conscious in his skin for the first time since he was a teen. The beta at the door, Todd, lifted his lip in a mocking sneer until Marcus straightened his spine and flashed his eyes at him, reminding the other man where he stood in the pecking order. He wouldn’t let anyone make him feel bad for having a human mate or for proudly carrying his scent like any newly mated shifter would.

“Any word on when the Keshena Pack will be arriving?” he asked, already heading toward the offices and making a mental note to let Jamie know Todd’s attitude was getting worse, not better. The young man had been a beta for a couple of years but hadn’t gained any new responsibilities or moved any closer to becoming an Enforcer. In fact, Marcus would be surprised if the man lasted through the new year.

“A few hours still,” Todd said quickly. “Their flight was delayed, so they only just landed in Detroit.”

He lifted his hand in acknowledgement but didn’t turn around. It was just after noon, and he hoped most everyone else was eating somewhere in the manor or in town. He wanted to close himself in his office without running into anyone else who could potentially sour his mood. The reminder of why he was in a good mood to begin
