The Deputy and His Enforcer (Kincaid Pack #3) - Kiki Clark Page 0,116
scent sink into him and soothe the last of his worries away. “Well, not that either. But I meant a family like this.”
“I know,” Robson whispered, eyes filling with sympathy. “They can be a lot sometimes, but I think you’ll grow to love them.”
Shaking his head fiercely, he quickly said, “I already do. How can I not? They’ve welcomed me into their home without a second thought and gone out of their way to be kind without making me feel out of place… They are the best gift you could have ever given me.”
Robson snickered as his hands began to tug the edge of Marcus’s shirt out of his pants, then slipped underneath and pressed into the skin of his back. “I can’t decide if you’re setting the bar for gifts incredibly low or high.”
He tried to give his mate a stern look, but the light scratching Robson started doing to the skin on his low back was terribly distracting. “I’m being serious.”
“I know,” Robson whispered, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his mouth. “You’re welcome.”
“I’ll never be able to get you anything as nice in return,” he said absently, a lot of his focus transferring to where Robson was starting to dip his fingers into the back of Marcus’s pants.
“Are you kidding me? You gave me a whole pack and a world of magic. I’d say we’re square.”
Nodding, Marcus gasped out, “Square,” just as Robson slid a finger between his cheeks. Eyes fluttering shut, he arched his back just a little to give his mate better access.
Chuckling, Robson whispered into his ear, “No regrets so far?”
Marcus knew he meant not just moving in with Robson’s family but mating with a human and all the things that had come with it. Robson didn’t sound worried though; if anything, his mate was a little smug.
Marcus couldn’t blame him. He tightened his arms around him. “Never. I love you, Robito.”
Grinning, Robson ducked down and pressed a kiss to the crook of Marcus’s neck, right over where he’d left his mark. Just like every other time he did it, it sent a shiver through Marcus. He prayed that would never change.
Lips brushing against the sensitive skin, Robson murmured, “I love you too, cariño.”
He sighed happily. “Let’s go to bed.”
Robson raised his head and met his eyes, gaze more serious than it had been a moment before. “Lead the way. Wherever you go, I go.”
Together. Forever.
Marcus could definitely live with that.

Laying Pipe
Being in love with your dad’s best friend is a recipe for loneliness.
Trust me, I know.
But I can’t help it. How can I not fall for someone as sweet and caring and attractive as John? Especially after he comes and fixes a leaking pipe in my basement. No questions asked. Just shows up, flashes his knee-weakening smile, and leaves.
Afterward, I notice John watching me with heat in his eyes sometimes. John, who’s only ever dated women, can’t seem to figure out he isn’t supposed to stare at certain parts of my very male body.
I know my dad won’t like it if he finds out, but we’re both adults. If there’s a chance I can have something real with John, I have to go for it.
Right?
Laying Pipe is a low-angst, contemporary romance full of heat, laughs, and a guaranteed HEA.
