A Demon's Harmony - E.C. Land Page 0,31
bow and took out a guy with it once when there was a threat at the club house.
Hell, all the women of the club are. Especially Ally, that woman as quiet as she is, is the most dangerous one of them all. She ended up stabbing a bitch to death. Then again that bitch deserved it.
“Found them,” Gadget finally calls out.
“Where?” Twister asks before I do.
“An hour from here. Seems the Dragon’s Fire MC are rebuilding from what I’ve gathered. And the President, Bleeder, is also none other than Matthew Leonard Tucker, Alexis’ stalker.” My vision turns red at the mention of the guy’s name.
Motherfucker.
Now I know who he is and this isn’t good.
“I remember him now. He was a year or two ahead of us I think in school. He was always getting into fights with someone. And didn’t he get arrested for beating the shit out of the football coach after being caught forcing freshmen to suck him off?” I ask, glancing at Hunter, Chaz, and Lex.
“Yeah I remember that shit. The coach was in the hospital for a month before being released. He still walks around with a limp,” he states.
Shit.
“Well, Bleeder was released a little over a month ago right around the time Alexis started getting harassed,” Gadget informs us.
“Do we know how many are with him?” Horse asks.
“Not sure but they can’t have many. Most of them are dead.” They all need to be dead. Or they will be after this.
“Izzy,” Twister calls out as he stands from the stool he’d been sitting on.
“Yes,” she asks calmly, but anyone who knows her could tell she was worried.
“We’re leaving Brass, Striker, Red, and Wolf here. I want you all to go pick a room to stay in and stay there until we’re back.” Nodding her head, Izzy reaches up and kisses him.
“Okay. But you better be careful. I don’t want to get a call saying you’ve been shot. Besides you have to be home in time to tuck both Mercy and Troy into bed,” she says.
“You got it, Baby. I’ll be back in time.” Nodding his head, he kisses his ol’ lady once more before motioning for all of us to follow him out of the clubhouse.
I hope one day I have what these guys have with Alexis. Just have to get her back first.
Opening the door to my car, I climb in and start the engine ready to follow them to our destination. Reaching into the glove box, I grab my own gun and check to make sure it’s loaded.
Lex climbs in the passenger seat, a grim expression crossing his face. “Let’s go get your woman back, man,” he mutters, reaching behind his back to pull his own gun out of the back of his jeans that he’s always carrying. Everyone sees Lex as the laid back one of the band but that’s not the case. He’s been through enough shit and seen enough that he hides the truth from everyone, rarely letting anyone see the real him. Besides those close to him.
As the club pulls out of the parking lot of the clubhouse, I put my car in gear and follow. Chaz and Hunter, in Chaz’s car, are behind me.
Without taking my eyes off the road, I do something I never do. Pray. Pray that Alexis is okay and I get to her in time. I don’t want to live my life without her.
“Hey Tan, you remember that one time when Melody wanted to put a show on for everyone at the house?” Lex asks.
“Yeah, I remember,” I say, clearing my throat. I know what my brother’s doing but fuck if it doesn’t hurt. I remember that day just like I remember everything to do with Alexis.
“I’d been ready to bolt when that little girl tried to put makeup on me when Alexis came in and convinced Melody of doing a show with her and letting the rest of them watch,” he chuckles.
I grin at that because Alexis can’t carry a tune for anything but her niece, she stood in front of everyone and sang songs. Right after though she’d left the house. I didn’t see her again for days on end. We all knew it was because she felt embarrassed about all of us who are musically talented having to endure her singing.
For me that hadn’t been the case and all I wanted then was to continue to hear it. Shit, I want that even now. Alexis might not be able to sing
