"Tell her, Sparkle!" one of the guys cried enthusiastically and the name was like three percent familiar to me. My Wolves had mentioned something about some jumped up Pegasus bitch trying to make a play for a spot as one of the rival gang leaders in this place while I'd been in the hole. I guessed she'd managed to convince herself she was close to taking my place. But that was a fucking joke.
I clucked my tongue like she was some insolent child and then kept walking. Not around her, but right at her. She had the choice to move the fuck aside or let me crash into her. I wasn't even going to step around her. She was nothing to me and ants scurried aside when Wolves walked towards them or they found themselves crushed underfoot.
Sparkle's nostrils flared in a way that looked kinda cute on a horse face but just gave way too much view up her nose in Fae form.
Her hands curled into fists at her sides and I saw the strike coming at least five seconds before she threw the punch. I didn't even need my Moon Wolf senses to anticipate the moves of this dumb herbivore.
I twisted at the last moment, refusing to allow her to strike my face, but the punch glanced off of my shoulder and that was all I needed. Now, anything I did was just in self defence. And to be fair to the girl, she had power behind that punch. I guessed as a Pegasus she’d pack a pretty harsh kick, but I wasn’t too worried about that – I just needed to go for the jugular and this would all be over in the blink of an eye.
My fist slammed into the side of her head, knocking her towards her little herd of followers and I snatched a fistful of her short, rainbow coloured hair with my other hand before she could right herself.
I used the propulsion of her already off balance body to swing her face first into the wall and there was a loud crack as her nose met with rough bricks.
My Wolves started howling excitedly, screaming my name and calling out insults like hoof whore and saddle sore bitch and glitter vag at the prick who had dared to try and stand against me.
Sparkle fell to the floor and I kicked her in the gut as hard as I could before slamming my boot down on her ass.
Sparkle screamed in agony and her herd closed in around us, but I didn't bother going any further. The guards were shouting out for us to stop and even though they couldn't see what was going on now that the other inmates had formed a wall of flesh blocking their view, I had no intention of wasting any more time on this sorry excuse for a Fae.
I stalked away from her and the other Pegasuses parted to let me through as the guards rushed in.
With a sharp whistle, I commanded my Wolves to back off before they got themselves in trouble and by the time the guards had finished shouting and striking at the herd with their batons to return the corridor to order, I was standing in my rightful place at the front of the queue.
Officer Rind grabbed Sparkle and hauled her away while she yelled protests through the blood streaming down her face from where her nose had hit the wall.
Hastings hurried over to me before I could give the other gang leaders any of my attention and I bit my bottom lip as I widened my eyes at him innocently.
"What was that about Rosa-Twelve?" he demanded, his cheeks pinking adorably as he realised his mistake in almost addressing me by my name in front of the other inmates.
"I honestly have no idea, ragazzo del coro," I said, batting my lashes.
He glanced over my shoulder where the sound of Sparkle cursing me colourfully was accompanied by the guards telling her to shut the fuck up as they hauled her ass away.
"Just...stay out of trouble, Twelve," Hastings said eventually, offering me a tight smile. "You don't want to end up back down in the hole."
"No, sir," I agreed, my voice just a touch breathy as I continued to give him my come to bed
