but the idea of some submissive cunnilingus was really not doing it for me so I caught a handful of her curls and turned her head away from me with a growl to tell her to back off.

That move put her face to crotch with Banjo which she seemed to think was intentional as she began sucking him off instead. Honestly. Wolves were so ridiculous sometimes and that was coming from me.

“Speak,” I commanded, getting tired of the nervous look Sonny was giving me and he nodded, ducking his head in deference.

“About a week after you were sent to the hole, Amira took the pack back by force. I fought hard, Alpha, but…” He hung his head and whimpered and a low growl escaped me. “She claimed I had no right to run the pack in your absence because I wasn’t the strongest. Then she…”

“She cast us out,” Brett supplied with a whine, taking Sonny’s hand. “The ten of us were the ones denying her most vocally, so she cut us from the pack and threatened the rest into running with her. None of them wanted to, but they were afraid.”

A deep growl escaped my lips and I bared my teeth as I heard a howl on the wind which I knew was coming from my stolen pack.

“She can’t cast you out,” I said in a deadly tone, the anger Ethan had left me with rising up in me tenfold now that I had someone to aim it at. “Only the Alpha can do that. So let’s go remind that bitch who runs the Oscura pack.”

I shifted as they all howled and whooped in excitement and I turned, racing away from them into the dark between the trees. I put my nose to the ground and turned my attention to the hunt.

I hurried on and my ten loyal packmates were soon left desperately trying to catch up to me as I pushed myself to my full speed, the moonlight making my silver coat flash in the dark every time it touched it.

I howled, long and low and full of rage a moment before I burst out of the trees onto a wide open plain of long grass and found my pack there, one scared looking bitch trying to stand tall in the centre of them.

I didn’t waste a single second as I leapt at Amira with a ferocious snarl and the Wolves closest to her all scattered with whimpers of fear.

I slammed into her hard, knocking her down into the grass beneath me and sinking my fangs into her throat before she even got a chance to defend herself.

My jaw locked tight and Amira screamed in agony as I shook her almost hard enough to break her scrawny, traitorous neck. I flung her to the ground as the taste of her blood flooded my mouth and pinned her beneath me, snarling with blood and drool dripping from my fangs and a promise of her death in my eyes unless she submitted at that very second.

The bitch clearly had some sense because she shifted fast, baring her throat to me in surrender and whimpering like a little pup as she cowered beneath me.

I lingered there long enough for her to see that I held her life in my hands before shifting back and standing over her.

“Shift!” I commanded in my Alpha tone and all around me, every single Wolf shifted back into Fae form, closing in around us in a tight ring. “This bitch just proved how unworthy she is of the Oscura name!” I cried, placing my bare foot on Amira’s neck as I drove her down into the dirt beneath me. “We are a family, not just a gang, not just a pack. Family. A morte e ritorno.”

“A morte e ritorno!” every single Wolf surrounding us cried, their loyal gazes locked on me.

“Will anyone here speak up for this un-Fae, conniving bitch?” I asked and I let several long seconds pass so that Amira could see how not one of them spoke for her. Not one of them cared.

“Please,” she breathed. “I didn’t know how long you’d be gone. I was just-”

I kicked her to shut her up and stepped back, allowing her to scramble onto her knees. I’d been waiting for the perfect moment to strike at this bitch since I’d realised she’d sold me out to Gustard. She’d been on borrowed time for far too long and the clock just ran out.

“You are nothing and no one.
