him. “But you should go. I don’t want Bauer angry at you too.”
“Yeah, I probably should. I’ll be in touch okay?” He smiles, then nods to Levi, I can tell he’s still wary of him, and then leaves. I can feel the tension rolling off of Levi, so I turn to him slowly, place my hands on his chest, and look up at him. This whole encounter has been emotional, but the way Levi stood up for me, giving me exactly what I needed when I didn’t even know it, just melts my heart.
“Thank you for being here today.” I lift up on my tiptoes and kiss him softly on the corner of his jaw. His arms wrap around my waist, and he looks down at me with a glint in his eye.
“I can think of a fun way for you to thank me.” His smile is wicked, and just the thought of it sends a shiver down the length of me, making my toes curl and my body heat.
“Let’s go back to your house?” I say, trying not to let on just how much his words affected me, and he agrees.
We head up to the roof, and he scoops me up again and shoots us into the air. We fly faster than we did last time, so I tuck my face in the nook of his neck.
We land in almost no time, and keeping me in his arms, he walks us through the house to the side I haven’t seen yet. We go up a flight of stairs and down the hall to double doors at the end of it, which open without either of us touching them, then fly shut after we enter the room. I take it in, all deep navy, black, white, and grey, but most of the space is taken up by the giant—could probably fit six people—four poster bed in the middle of the room.
“Planning on having orgies on that bed?” I ask him as he puts me back on my feet, my gaze fixed to the possibilities of a bed that spacious.
He scoffs as if the idea is unfathomable, “Hardly, Angel. I don’t share.” I believe him, but I half wish it wasn’t so.
Taking a few steps to the bed, I start to undress, discarding my clothes along the way with a coy smile thrown over my shoulder. I watch for a second as his wings return to their hidden place, leaving only the man.
“I don’t recall giving you permission to undress, Angel,” his voice is thick with lust, yet it’s the commanding tone that has me stopping in my tracks.
“I didn’t realize I needed it,” I counter, turning to him, my shirt half-way unbuttoned.
“Now you know,” he says, stalking me until we’re a breadth apart, him looking down at me, calculating his next move, and me staring up wondering how far I can push him.
Let’s play, Levi, I think as bring my hands up to his chest and push him back, “Maybe I don’t like rules.”
He doesn’t budge, not even an inch, a smirk planted firmly on his mouth as he regards me with calculation that doesn’t bode well for me.
“Oh, Angel, are you trying to play catch?” he asks, taking one step closer and lowering his mouth to my ear, “Because I’m really good at it.”
I refuse to admit that I’m a bit nervous because mostly, I’m a heap of hormones in dire need of everything he’s willing to give me.
“Says you,” I taunt, and I swear I’m a glutton for punishment.
With a lazy grin that spreads across his handsome face, he says one word, “Run,” and I’m equal parts terrified and excited of what he’ll do once he catches me. Because he will catch me, he already promised me, and that’s the goal after all.
I barely make it to the sitting room and as I round the sofa to see where he is, I run smack into a wall of alpha Angel. I let my eyes travel the length of his now naked chest and have to bite my lip to avoid drooling.
“I guess I win?” he drawls, his arm circling my waist and lifting me up to drop a searing kiss on my tingling lips.
“I think I win,” I mutter between kisses, putting my arms around his neck and lifting myself up so I can wrap my legs around his waist, “You’re half naked and,” I rub my covered pussy over his ever growing erection, “you’re hard.”
