“Fine,” he says sharply with a nod, before glaring at Serafina who doesn’t seem even a little bothered. “Everyone gear up, we leave in thirty.”
The gold glowing dot on the map moves a little, and I realize that must be Marie’s tracker on Amelia. I can’t believe we’re here. That we’re this close. That all of this insanity could be over by the time I go to bed tonight.
I feel a little giddy at the prospect, but I push the feeling down. I’ve never been the kind of person to count my chickens and all that. I leave the others in the library and head to my room. While most of our accumulated weapons are in the library, my stash is in my room. There was no way I was keeping it too far from reach.
