Crossroads (Beautiful Biker MC Romance Series) - DD Prince Page 0,156
biker. Your biker?” She looked like she wanted to claw my eyes out. “I don’t know which of you two bitches I wanna kill first, though probably you…” She pointed at Juicy, “because you’re supposed to be my fucking friend and this bitch is just another one of his victims, gettin’ strung along by Chris Forker. Can I get a fuckin’ drink in this shit hole or what?”
Juicy bit her lip.
I held my chin up high. “What were you texting with him about this morning?”
“That’s between me and him,” she said. “Can’t get a fucking drink around here? I’m gone. Watch your back, bitch.”
She said that to me as she got off the barstool.
“What did he say when you texted him? Did he make plans to meet up with you?” I asked. “Is that why you’re showing your face here?”
She didn’t answer me. She hefted her purse over her shoulder.
“Because if he hasn’t seen you or made plans with you, then I don’t see how you should feel sorry for me.”
“I’m goin’. You can ask him. You can also tell him I’m done feeding him information. And again… watch your back.”
“Is that you feeding me useful intel or is that a threat?”
“I guess you’ll find out,” she said with a shrug.
Nolan and Pudge, our chaplain (who I hadn’t seen lately), blocked her.
“You’re comin’ with us,” Pudge said. “Both a youze.”
“What’s this got to do with me?” Juicy protested but Pudge had both of them by the wrists and was walking them away from me.
I stood there with weak knees as I watched them get marched toward the kitchen. Paige tried to pull away and Pudge didn’t allow it, so she reached across him and slapped Juicy’s face, shrieking,
“You fucking bitch.”
“Shit,” Pippa muttered.
“You okay?” Ella asked me, getting in front of me to block my view of the two redheads.
I stared at her and couldn’t find words.
“Don’t jump to conclusions. Don’t believe a word out of her mouth.”
“You know her?”
“She went to our high school,” Jenna said. “She’s always been a biker bunny and she…”
“Just because she’s a biker bunny doesn’t mean she’s a liar,” Gianna snapped.
Jenna looked at Gianna. “That’s not what I was saying.”
Gianna’s face was red.
“She’s a Jackals’ bunny though, so she’s not to be trusted because of the Jackals connection,” Pippa threw in. “The other one said herself she was tasked with getting information. We can’t believe everything we hear from someone who isn’t on our side.”
Gianna deflated a little.
“I wasn’t saying anything about you, Gianna,” Jenna defended.
“I gotta take a walk,” Gianna said and headed out the door.
“Get your hiney back in here, lil’ Gigi,” Little John called out. “Brothers are all occupied and you’re in danger if you head out there. All you girls either sit here or go upstairs through the back stairwell.”
“Fine,” Gianna snapped and went toward the bathroom, presumably to go upstairs.
What was Paige texting with him about? Why hadn’t he told her that he was married and therefore cut off communication? She believed they’d be together when it was all done? She’d loved him since she was sixteen? Her name had come up as someone that he’d had a thing with.
My dad, Deacon, and Rider walked into the bar. At least some of the brothers were back.
“Christian with you?” I asked.
Dad pointed up. Upstairs.
“What’s up, punkin?” he asked.
I sent Christian a text.
Where are you?
I answered my father. “Two of the boys are detaining two Jackal bunnies in your office, I think.” I pointed and stared at my phone.
Dad went that way. Rider followed. Deacon went to Ella who started filling him in.
Christian replied.
Just about to hop in the shower. You ok?
I replied.
I’ll meet you in the room.
“Gotta go,” I told the girls and zipped up the back stairs to my room, seeing that they all had concerned faces.
He wasn’t in my room so must’ve gone to the shower already. There was no sign of him having been in my room, no keys, phone, or wallet on the dresser where he often dropped them. His clean clothes weren’t in my room so I assumed that stuff might be in his, since his clothes were there.
I went to his door. Locked. I wanted a look at his phone. I stood against the door with my arms folded across my chest.
Scott walked down the hall toward his room. “Everything okay?” he asked me.
“Mm hm.” I answered through tight teeth.
“Where’s Dee?”
I pointed at the floor to illustrate downstairs and then tapped my foot impatiently and
