Collaring Chaz (Dante's Infernal #2) - Joel Abernathy Page 0,88

a gleam of amusement in his frigid eyes.

“That was quite the show,” he said in a wry tone, looking over at Chaz. “Are you sure about this? Because the contract isn’t binding until you actually say ‘I do.’”

This time, Chaz was the one who rolled his eyes, but he leaned in and hugged Drake tight, which kind of broke him. I’d never actually seen him look flustered, but just when I thought he wasn’t actually aware of what a hug was, he returned it and sighed. “I suppose I know enough good lawyers that it doesn’t matter if you change your mind.”

I glared at him, even though I was ninety-nine percent sure it was just his usual dry asshole humor.

Okay, maybe ninety-five percent.

Chaz pulled away and pecked him on the cheek, which made Drake’s brain short-circuit again. “I’m very happy with all my contractual obligations,” he assured our manager before coming back to my side. I wrapped an arm around his waist, because my ability to not act like a possessive caveman only existed in minute-long spurts.

“In that case, congratulations to you both,” Drake said, nodding in concession before offering his hand to me. “Take care of my favorite client, because we both know I have enough connections to make a body disappear.”

Before I could retort, Dante yelled, “Favorite? What about me?”

“You’re not a client, love. But you are my favorite child.”

“I’m your only child,” Dante huffed.

“That you know of.”

Dante’s jaw dropped, and while they were distracted, I grabbed Chaz and pulled him toward the backstage.

“Hey, where are you going?” Cash called. “We were gonna go out and celebrate.”

“Go ahead and get started without us,” I said, pushing Chaz into the dressing room.

“Raf!” he cried as I pushed him up against the door, but he was laughing so hard there were tears in his eyes.

“I’m done sharing you,” I muttered into his neck before claiming it with my teeth as hungrily as my hands roved his body. “That was the longest show of my life.”

He gave a little moan of surrender, melting in my embrace as I slipped my hand into his waistband and palmed his cock, stroking until he was hard. “It was only an hour,” he said distractedly, his eyes glazed with pleasure as his fingertips bit into my shoulders.

“Yeah, but every second I have to look at you in those pants without being able to tear them off feels like a year,” I informed him, muffling his response with another kiss.

The husky laugh he gave as I tore them off just drove me even wilder, and while I had planned on at least getting over to the couch, fucking him against the door was sounding better by the second.

This time, when he moaned my name, it was low and intimate, a soft plea for more of what I had no intention of stopping. He unfastened my leathers, and I hitched his leg up over my hip to position myself at his entrance. It was rough and fast, but the look in his eyes told me that was exactly how he wanted it tonight.

Every night was something different. Sometimes he was my pup, obedient and eager to please. Sometimes, he was my lover, soft and sensual. Most of the time, we were like this, too horny and infatuated to keep our hands off each other, just like we always had been. How it had taken me so long to figure it out would never cease to perplex me.

Right now, though, there was no room for regret in hindsight. Not when I had him in my arms, pressed up against the door and moaning my name with increasing abandon as I fucked him in a fruitless attempt to come anywhere close to expressing how badly I wanted him. No lust-fueled aggression, no declarations of love, and no words written on a page could even touch it, but when I looked into his eyes, I could tell that as inadequate as my attempts at conveying it were, he knew.

Guess mind reading just came with the territory of being with someone nearly every day for half your life. It still never felt like enough, but the rest of our lives was a damn good start.

Epilogue

Chaz

The last time I’d been in Vegas, the lights of the strip hadn’t glowed with nearly as much friendliness as they did tonight. It was nice being able to walk around with relative ease, since the town was used to celebrities. That was one thing I still
