will have to make together.” Knight added.

“We will. Right now, I want her to be steady before we tackle that.” I sipped from my whiskey. “But we’re planning on flying out in two weeks. Echo, will Tammy have time to go with us? Tianna wants to know if she’d like to come see the showroom.”

“Listen, if Tammy has to sell her soul to the devil she will be on that plane.” Echo laughed. “But let me go give her a call. Maybe she can swing by and make plans with Tianna when she comes for lunch?”

I nodded and Echo slipped out of the seat.

“Thanks for keeping our name out of the collar.” Thunder spoke up.

“Of course.” I told him. “You two were doing me a favour.”

“Don’t even. We were doing your lady a favor.” Knight smirked. “We like her.”

I tossed back my drink then chuckled. “Too bad she’s taken.”

“Better luck next time, I guess.” Knight winked at me.

Echo returned with her arm looked with Tianna’s. The two of them laughing and chatting about something. Tianna kissed me then slipped into the seat beside me.

“Let me tell the kitchen we’re ready for lunch.” Echo told us.

“We’re not waiting for Tams?” Knight asked.

“She’ll be here in ten minutes, she said when I spoke with her.” Echo checked her watch. “I’ll be back.”

She’d closed down Crosshairs for the day so we could have time together. I didn’t even realize the day our friendship became this close. The Titan brothers needed help, I had the means to and they came with Echo and Tammy. But I wouldn’t change things for the world. They’d been there for me numerous times, though they had a reputation in the city of being the sort of men who could burn someone’s entire world to the ground.

They were good men and Echo was an amazing friend.

Tammy announced her arrival by screaming Tianna’s name from across the bar. Tianna looked at me and smiled. We hadn’t gotten the chance to meet up because of Tammy’s work. Though we’d planned on it, she picked up an extra shift at the hospital and jumped on it.

“I’m going to take it that’s Echo’s sister.” Tianna stood to hug her.

“Yes,” Tammy replied. “The cute one of the two. Oh my God, you’re Tianna Sharp.”

We all ate lunch together then Tianna took Tammy to another table to talk. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. I barely heard what they were saying at my table until Thunder poked me with the back of his dessert fork.

“She’s coming back, brother.” Thunder joked.

The others laughed out loud.

“I’m sorry.” I managed.

“Don’t be.” Knight told me. “It looks good on you.”

“It?” I asked.

“Love.” Echo replied for him. “You’re falling for her and I’ve never seen you like this.”

“I’ve never felt like this.” I admitted.

Tianna Sharp

We’d planned on heading back to Montana before.

But Tammy wasn’t able to get the time off. I was perfectly happy with that, as I didn’t think I was ready to face the music.

After three months living with Hermes in Toronto, flying back into Montana felt strange. I’d hidden from the world in his arms. The past three months were filled with elegant parties, slow dancing to no music in his living room—sometimes after we’d made love on the floor.

Each night for the past three months, I ate dinner with him—when we didn’t go out, we’d take turns cooking.

When I allowed myself to think about it—I was happy.

One morning I woke up to find Hermes gone and a newspaper sitting on the island. I poured myself some coffee and unfurled it. The front page was a picture of us, walking through Toronto’s biggest malls, hand in hand with the headline, Billionaire Maksim Demidov off market.

I pressed my eyes closed for a moment, took a few sips from my coffee then refocused on the paper. The article speculated on how long we’d been dating. It spoke on how Hermes was close friends with the super wealthy Titan brothers who were suspected of being in some kind of Mafia.

I rolled my eyes and tossed the paper into the recycle bin, refilled my coffee and wandered through the house to my new office. It was a downstairs bedroom Hermes and Knight had worked into turning into my workspace.

After three weeks, Tammy had had enough of her not being able to take time off. Her anger stemmed from having worked almost eight months without approved time off. She’d wound up quitting.

Personally, I didn’t think that was the best of ideas,
